I have been to Chincoteague, but not the Saxis area. I think that's on the inland side opposite Chincoteague.

Would the Saxis WMA be worthy from a wildlife photography standpoint? I guess what I am saying is if I go to Chincoteague again, would it be worth stopping by the Saxis WMA? Is the wildlife accessible from a vehicle/walking or is it necessary to have a boat?

Neat photo, glad you were able to get it without other boats travelling in the background.

It's not far from Chincoteague at all. We were staying on Chincoteague and made the short drive there one afternoon to look for ducks. Not much you can see in terms of wildlife from the road, a few good views of scenery. GRANTED we didn't explore any available hiking so I can't attest to that. So I would say that if you're in Chincoteague, you should head over there.
