Went to Cades Cove in search of 2 caves and 4 ponds that I wasn't familiar with. Found both the caves and the ponds. On the way to Bull Cave there were some nice Indian Pinks right off the trail.

I definitely won't call these award winners, but I was kind of happy with them considering the wind was blowing them around most of the time.

Here's two versions, one with a natural background and one with a black background. I usually don't care for flowers with the black background, the technique was overdone a decade or so ago. But in this case I kind of like the black background better.

Which do you guys prefer? Maybe neither.

Very Nice joe! Excellent shape (definition) in the reds on both. I'm at a loss as to which I like the most! I do like the black BG, but I feel the natural BG allows more overall detail of the plant. This could be an illusion and a trick to the eye!

Yep, that back of my gold reflector is black, so I just put it behind the flower.

Me too. Did you add a black background?
