Wasn't sure where to put these. I mean they really aren't even "outdoor" photos.

We made a trip to the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta yesterday. One of the guys we shoot with often volunteers there and got us in before it opened to the public. It was a real treat! These are a few images of just the Beluga Whales...they are the newest attraction.

Shooting through 22" of acrylic and super cold water made everything look murky as crap, and the white balance was a nightmare to deal with...other than that it was a hoot!

All of these are at ISO 1600

I've heard really nice things about the Georgia Aquarium. Considering the thick walls you are viewing through I think you did a nice job.

I believe I like the first shot the best with the whole whale in the image sailing around the cliff wall.

The 3rd image has a fun facial expression.

I think you did "darn" well with what you had to work with!

We cant all be a "David Doubilet", one of my favorite National Geographic Photographers whose images and person I had the pleasure to work with over the years I was on staff.

Working with WB under water is hard enough more less shooting through that much glass at an aquarium. It was amazing how his Kodachrome slides were able to capture things in such a natural way.

So. Again, Pretty Darn Neat Cecil!
