Or, Fragrant Ladies Tresses. These small, fragrant orchids are not rare. Photographing them can present a challenge though...the tall, spindly stems will sway in even the slightest breeze. The beauty of these plants is best appreciated up close...

Great macro and great bokeh.

I can't tell you how many times I've run my car off the road try to see if it was colic root or ladies tresses.

Being a birder and an wildflower nut makes one a very bad driver. (ha ha)

The second photo gives a good perspective of how large the bloom actually is on the first photo. Thanks for including the second photo.

The first has great detail. Wonderful image. The petals on the subject, while white, almost have a transparency about them.
