wow now those are realy pretty. the macro guy in me wants to see the spider better but looking at that second shot you've made it look like art. cool series

I think these are all kind of cool.

I like the first shot the best, which is somewhat out of character for my taste. I like it because of the artsy softness. And I like it because of the blurred background flower behind the subject.

Usually I find a background element that is directly behind and extending beyond the subject somewhat distracting. In this case I think the background flower enhances the overall composition of the foreground flower in the first image. The background flower's stem is parallel to the foreground flower's stem, and the starburst (green and yellow) of the background foilage mimics the starburst of the foreground flower. It's a cool effect. I also like the glow the foreground subject has or almost has.

I like all of them! Love the composition and colors. I also wish for the spider to turn around but they rarely cooperate.
