Our trip out west started through Death Valley -

Please let me hear the critique! As some of these were shot in mid-day sun they've been tough. I can't seem to get the "haze" right in the first one...

Whats to critique?????? "Their lovely"........all of them!!

Haze can be a "bear", but it's up to you as to the color you witnessed. It looks very natural on your presentation. You could isolate the area and do a slight de-sat or even warm it a touch. It's your art and who's to tell you what you saw, recorded and such.

I love your composition on these, especially the road to infinity! Colors look wonderful too with just the right amount of saturation. You have shape in all regions and percentages.

Awesome Work Ken! :D

really like that first one......

Now imagine that first one in yellows and reds when its in full bloom in the Spring....would make a great "contrast" shot.

Thanks guys!

Jim - the haze (I thought was more of a brownish, however it looks green when it came straight from the camera. Maybe I just don't remember! But thanks again. Lots more to work on and I appreciate the comments.

I like the second and the forth image the best.

The second image is a mystery to me; I keep going back to it. The waterline is so straight, seems very unusual. I also like the perspective you got on the second image.

I see lots of potential with the last image, it has an artsy quality that I like, I keep wondering what black and white would be like for it.

The road to infinity ... well that's hard to be objective on. I've seen so many outstanding images like that ... I want to compare yours to the professionals I've seen, which is not fair.

I don't see a problem with the haze in the first image. I think it's fine. I don't see anything wrong with it.
