I think I added too many "props" this time but even still I think I like this one.

That is nice. I really like the depth.
Is that a Faulks Woodduck call?

This one is the winner in the 'color' category of the 4 stills you guys have posted.
Great advertising for the gun, decoy, duck calls, and shell manufacturer. If you guys keep this up you may be able to go into advertising for duck hunting paraphernalia.
This comment has nothing to do with photography, and not being hunter I am probably not very informed about decoys.
But I notice there is a fair amount of difference between the decoy and the actual duck. The real duck has a red ring around the eye. The decoy has a red eye. The dark colors on the real duck seems to start just below the cheek, but the decoys whole head is green without the dark color.
Just how accurate does a decoy have to be to work. Is it more the silhouette\shape of the decoy or do the colors count too?

Joe, I'm impressed actually that you even noticed that level of detail b/t the real thing and the decoy. I've yet to be bitten by the old style decoy bug (cork, carved, etc.) I mainly use plastic mass produced decoys. They are pretty realistic but not exact as you have noticed. They don't have to be too accurate really. Some species of waterfowl will decoy to black & white painted milk jugs to be perfectly honest.
I'm surprised that the color came out as well as it did considering there was no sun and I used the on camera flash (40D) to give me what I thought I needed. Guess it worked. :D

Outstanding color. Did you use a special flashmode (fill, curtain etc).

I love all of the props in this one. It really tells a story, the story of a hunt. The colors are fantastic. This could be a print that hunters use to decorate their cabins. Several minutes after my husband saw your photo, he went down in the basement and started practicing some duck calls, so it definitely motivated him.
