This is the last bird retrieved in our early goose season which went from Sept 8-17. Got out a couple times with my buddy and took 40 birds. Gotta love those uneducated early birds. Since then I purchased Topaz Labs B&W plug-in. I have done a fair bit of work with it since and really like it. Here it is applied to Liza bringin' home the chickens.

I have it too and really love it. You could of used "adaptive exposure" a little more to open those shadows on the Dog. Its a wonderful tool! "Very innovative"!!!!!!! Just as good as NIK's Silver FX at a fraction of the darn price too,

Awesome Capture Mike and A darn good B&W conversion! Just needs a little tweaking.

That's a very nice black and white. You do have a few blocked up areas in the image (blacks with no detail), They might could be opened up some, then again, sometimes a black and white looks better with a few black holes. Very nice.

Thanks everyone for your comments. I would agree with all the points that have been mentioned. When I went back to try a redo tonight, I couldn't get it to look exactly the same (minus the plugged 3/4's). This was the first image I processed with the software before I was familiar with all the settings, but looking forward to using it a lot more. For $30 its a great value. That adaptive exposure is really cool. I also really like the silver and paper tone and the way as well as the vignettes.
