May not belong so feel free to 86 if neccessary. I attended my first hunt test last weekend. I came away with several nice keepers from the day. This first one was one of those "well, if it CAN happen, IT WILL" kind of things. Look very closely and see if you can find it.

Is it the dog not flinching?? I think I may have cheated if that's the answer. And the second shot seems to really grab my attention. It's almost like there's some sort of filter over it where the man's upper body and mostly his face are just different. I wish i could explain it. And the dof is perfect for it.

Idlewild,
The dark looking post processing is really great stuff. Every one of these is http://photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/extra/bookworthy.gif

The first photo demonstrates an environmentally friendly way to shoot shotguns. Let the dog catch the spent shells on his/her head instead of losing the shells on the ground. Good dog (and retrieves ducks too).

All the photos are really good. The subject in each image comes out of the photo.

I hope you got a model release for that first shot, it's going to be in a magazine some day. Great series.
