Woke up Mrs.DD and the dog at 0400 to make them take the hour ride with me over to Cocoa Beach
After a stop at 7-11 for coffee, muffins and gas we were on our way
I really enjoy these shots but this is kinda out of the box for me,so any help is welcome.

40D,tripod,ND filter,CP filter
There was a lot of seaweed washing up on shore I couldn't do much about so I cropped it out of this picture

.Mrs.DD's favorite cuz of the wave action

My favorite cuz of the refelction in the sand and no seaweed

And I have never done this one before but thought it would look cool as I walked under the pier

Left here to go play with some birds ( back in the box) will put up more pix later
thanks for any help!!!

I agree totally with your favorite. That is my favorite too for the exact same reason ... the larger reflection in the wet sand. To me that little tiny element changes the image in a big way and for the better. Good job on that third image.

I also like the silky/creamy waves in the 4th shot of the pier pilings too. The foreground water looks good. But I'm not that fond of the flare or blownout areas in the background beyond the pier.

Ok,thanks Joe.
The clouds kinda goofed me up today so when I quit the sun was high.
I had to walk back under the pier to get back to the truck and thought, what the heck lets try this shot?
I will keep this in mind and next time I will try to go for a lower sun shot under the pier

I like the one you and Joe like best. I've tried similar to the last several times and have never really satisfied myself. I have seen serverl done by others that I liked.

Actually, now after looking at that image more, the hard yellow light at the end of the pier looks pretty cool, it's different. So I like the yellow light. The pure white areas in the background are the only thing I would change ... and there really isn't that much of the pure white light so you could chalk it up to artistic interpretation and just leave it as is.

The water looks really good in that shot.

I love the last image. It is my favorite by far. I really like the detail in the piers and the I really like the action in the waves. They still have some nice detail (not too smooth) so it still gives me a sense of there power/action. The only thing I would do is to crop the right side a little so that it becomes a little more symmetrical. The small area that is blown out doesn't bother me at all nor do I find it distracting.
The other images are nice, but that last one really gets my attention. Well done.

To be honest that is exactly what i had in mind, but I'm not sure it helped the image or not. Now that I see it, the more I like the way you originally presented it. Either way nice work!

I almost missed these!

Like you, I love your fave of the pier! And Mikes suggestion on the underside did a nice job!
