...or, Sun Dew. Another Green Swamp find. These are actually quite common. This is one of three sun dew that call the G-S home. It's carniverous and what looks to be dew-drops are actually a sticky substance that is secreted by the plant. No flash was used for this picture...it was taken in the early morning in direct sun. The leaf in the middle-right has a few bugs on it that decided to stick around for dinner...

I find these plants hard to get the right DOF on. Seems like I always only get portions of the plant 'dew' in focus with the other parts blurred out. I'll have to work on that.
You did a much better job on the DOF than I do (with a large amount of droplets in the focal plane). I think it might look even better if it was a little darker or had more shadows. But that's up for debate.
Always love to see your carnivorous plants Skip.

Very nice image of a difficult to photograph plant. Much better than anything I have managed. Hopefully you can show me around GS this spring/summer.

I can see how photographing this plant would be a huge challenge with DOF. You did a fantastic job with this one with your DOF. It's a very interesting plant. I don't recall ever having seen one of these.
