View Full Version : Right Banner suggestions/submissions

Two things:
For a quick fix during the holidays, which do you like better the Snow Geese Moon shot, or the Alligator shot?


I am very open to taking submissions for the right banner. In fact I would rather use someone elses image. If you have anything that might work please post it here. The specs for the right banner are 632 px wide and 98 pixels high. If we get enough submissions we can set up a poll and vote, if not I will choose from what we have.

For now (during the holidays), I will keep one of the two I have as the banner.


Here's two I have that can be used for the banner (just for the holiday quick fix).

The moon shot. I love the idea and it works well with having text. But the moon is a little blurry and not that great of a photo.

The gator shot. Might look too busy with the 5 photos below it. No room for text. While not the greatest photo, using an alligator fits the theme of the forum because it is specific to the south.

very fitting! I sort of like it. Either way you go I don't think you can go wrong. ;)

I think both work nicely. I really like the very graphic quality and simplicity in the geese and moon. But I also like way the gator image works with the logo when you navigate away from the main page and the other supporting images. Tough choice!

Great idea Deede. I put the moon back for the main page. But now when you navigate to any of the other pages you get the alligator. I would have never thought of that, glad you made the comment!

Well...so glad my indecisiveness finally paid off! ;)

I really think it works better that way. The moon works best when the 5 photos are included. But the moon doesn't seem to work that good when only the logo is involved. In that case, the gator appears to work better when the two are only a duet.

Deedee I think you make a very good point and I think I'd have to agree with you.
