Living at the foot of the Texas Hill Country, there are a lot of deer in the area, but not too many bucks like the one pictured below.

Not being too familiar with Texas ... is the Texas hill country you mentioned near Big Bend National Park? More than likely I'm way off base, but thought I would ask.

Way off Base by nearly 500 miles Joe! Those "little hills" within the boundary of Big Bend are the Chisos mountains with the Davis Mountain Range to the north.

The Texas hill country is...Austin, LLano, San Antonio etc................ The home of the Bluebonnets .......... and those darn Texas Longhorns!

Sort of like Dallas and Ft. Worth is where those darn Yankees live.........

You guys talking about Texas made the voices in my head talk to me and they reminded me of one of my favorite movies.

Texas is a women, she used to say, a big wild beautiful women. You get a kid raised up to where he's got some size and there's Texas whispering in his ear smiling saying..come out with me and have some fun. Hard enough to raise children any place, when ya gotta fight Texas a mother hasn't a chance. That's why she pushed Bud so hard. She let Texas beat her with the rest of you. She was going to see Bud through college or die....well..she died.
