Yucca filamentosa plant pm light

I liked this afternoon Jan. light hiking in the Mountain Bridge Wilderness area of upstate SC .

The boulder and yucca work nicely for a good frame. Is the yucca native to SC or did it become established through humans? I see them occasionally but never really understood whether they are a native plant.

Thanks, Joe . Yea, native and Indians used it for different things like medicine, soap and weaving.
