Wild horses of Carrot Island, Rachel Carson Reserve.
For a change of pace I loaded a tripod into my kayak, paddled across to Carrot Island and took a hike in search of the horses of Carrot Island. I found about 14 or 15 subjects, got a glimpse of one of the largest foxes I've ever seen, and saw some interesting wildflowers as well. Definately fun stuff.

A couple more shots. The second one isn't the best shot but the behavior is interesting. I think this stallion was showing aggression towards me and trying to get me to leave. For a few moments I thought he was going to charge me.

Love the composition on the first two Bob. You have the horses positioned just right. I even like the sailboat in the first shot, but I wish those building tops were not in the background above those trees, you might could clone those out and still keep the mast of the sailboat. Regardless, your composition is perfect in my eyes.
I like the intensity of the horse on the last shot, I see drama there.

That first images is a classic "Post Card" that could be from Chincoteague, Assateague or the Carolina's. I am an inspiring Equine Photographer and I love shooting horses. I have a project going on called "The Horses of Lancaster County" of which I want to celebrate the horses used by the Amish for their many chores. I will be working on this for a long while I guess.
