Limits and Restrictions
If you are going to include an image or attachment then continue. Two methods to display an image. Both are acceptable and encouraged. Method 2 has size restrictions. Method 1: - How to display an image via a 'URL link' (display an image from your photo hosting website) This method simply links to an image from another website and displays it. It does not actually upload the image to our web server. Using this method saves space and allows for larger images to be displayed. It also allows for more than one image to be displayed per post (limit of 5 including smilies). More than one image is not suggested for an ‘Image Critique’ because it might be confusing. Note, you must have some images stored at a photo hosting website for this method to work (a website such as flickr, pbase, shutterbug). You should get the URL address of the particular image file(s) you want to display before continuing.
In this example we will link an image to a forum post from another photo hosting website. The website could be flickr, pbase, shutterbug... etc. Note these instructions are for a Windows OS. 1. Open the website page that has the photo you want to link to.Method 2: - How to display an image via an 'uploaded attachment' (upload an image from your computer to display)
1. Click the Attachments button in the text editor (it's the one that looks like a paper clip) |

Method 2 Addendum:
Positioning attached images. The default way of displaying attached (uploaded) images is at the bottom of your post in the 'Attached Images' area. There is a way to position your images in your post once you have uploaded them. (See the next reply on how to do that) These two attached images have been uploaded and display in the default mode.

Method 2 Addendum:
Positioning attached images. To position your attached images (after you have uploaded them) ...
Notice how the above image (of the paperclip) is positioned where my cursor was (after the 3rd list item)... as opposed to being displayed at the bottom of the page in the 'Attached Images' area.

Method 2 Addendum Example:
Here are the same two birds that were originally in the 'Attached Images' area at the bottom of the post. Now they have been repositioned where I want them to go. A bunch of text about my 1st photo. This Whooping Crane is on the ground. This Whooping Crane is on the ground. This Whooping Crane is on the ground. This Whooping Crane is on the ground. A bunch of text about my 2nd photo. These Whooping Cranes are in the air. These Whooping Cranes are in the air. These Whooping Cranes are in the air. These Whooping Cranes are in the air. These Whooping Cranes are in the air.
